The Wind Solar Alliance (WSA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the transition to renewable energy as a means of strengthening the U.S. economy and reducing environmental impacts of our energy use. WSA uses research, communications, and advocacy to raise awareness of the benefits of renewable energy and the need for energy and infrastructure policies that recognize and reward those benefits.
Innovant Public Relations was hired by the Wind Solar Alliance, formerly the Wind Energy Foundation, to lead the external communications strategy and PR efforts around its rebrand and name change. Innovant Public Relations’ efforts included creating the new Wind Solar Alliance logo and associated brand elements, designing all new branded templates, developing the Wind Solar Alliance website from start to finish, supporting targeted stakeholder outreach, and leading media relations around the launch. Our goal was to illustrate WSA’s expanded mission and reflect the emerging consensus that the wind and solar sectors are stronger when acting together on a shared agenda than when acting apart.
